..::[ Corrupt TRB DB ]::.. [ Date: 2018.06.26 ] [ Block Height: 529371 ] [ Author: mod6 ] What follows here below is more of a PSA, than anything. Please do yourself a favor and backup your chain on regular rotation! I have a personal TRB node, currently at @ 208.94.240.42 ; which has previously been determined to have a faulty SSD drive, upon which the blockchain resides. Since making this determination, I made the mistake of the following: 0x01: Not carrying out regular backups; weekly, monthly, etc. 0x02: Not changing out the faulty disk If I had had regular backups in place, I could have just rolled back to the most recent blkindex.dat and then just resyc'd from that position in the chain (as helpfully stated by Mr. Popescu [R.01]), rather than have to cut up all of the blk####.dat files, and feed them in via the -caneat (eatblock) [R.02] command line option. So for now, my personal TRB is down, while resycning via -caneat. Hopefully will be back up in a week or so.
